I have been installing solar control window film since 1989. I learned the trade while working for the owner of Tintsulation Inc., and in 1994, when he retired, I started Therma-Shield. Initially, I tinted vehicles as well as homes and businesses, but in 1997 I decided to focus exclusively on residential and commercial filming, and, at that time, I made the decision to operate from a home office. This made sense because all of my work is done on site, at our customer's home or business.

The reduced overhead allows me to be even more competitive, and those savings are passed on to our customers. In 2007, Therma-Shield took a giant stride forward when we became an exclusive dealer of Panorama Window Films for Spokane, Pend Oreille, and Stevens counties.

At the current time, our customer base consists of individuals who have a need to reduce solar heat gain on southern or western exposures, who need to control glare or ultra-violet fading, who need additional privacy, and those who desire additional safety and security.

Residential customers make up approximately 60% of our customer base, and commercial customers (mainly contactors and glass companies, but also property management companies and property owners) make up approximately 40%.
